Four Affordable Brands on Shopbop

Is it me, or did clothes get a lot more expensive in recent years? It might be because I’m getting older and my days of Forever 21 are nearly over, but lately it’s hard to find a top for under $150 and a dress under $250. I’ve found a few brands on Shopbop, however, that are good quality at a good price point and always-on trend.

From top left, counter clockwise.

My picks: Everyone needs a little white dress for summer. Enter: the Shanna dress. / And for work (think: black cropped, flared jeans and a low heel), the Shannon Top.

My picks: At under $50, this Tie Shoulder Blouse would get a lot of wear this summer. The poplin is super on-trend and it would work with a white blazer for work or with white jeans on the weekend. / I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this faded chambray henley during the (often chilly) San Francisco summer.

The sister label of endless rose (also on this list), English Factory is feminine without being fussy. My picks: I’ve been seeing a lot of embroidered floral patterns, and this Long Ruffle Dress is a steal at $95. / Also under $100, this drop-waist dress had me at the ties down the back.

My picks: I’m so happy pleats are back! This striped Pleated Maxi Dress is just over $150. / This dress would be perfect for a bride, but I’d wear it with a jean jacket and nude sandals.
