The whole group (minus the kids) on the night of our cooking class.
Happy Henry doing what makes him happiest - eating!
Day trip to classic Italian beach town, Viareggio.
San Gimignano from above.
Wine tasting at Montefili.
Getting lost and not caring while driving around Tuscany.
San Donato had a great butcher and we had an amazing lunch at La Toppa in town - the owner is a classic Italian character. One of our favorite meals during the trip was at a restaurant called Uscio e Bottega, a teeny tiny spot up the hill from our house next to a beautiful church. We had one of our best dinners at Osteria Alla Piazza, near Panzano (another great town with another famous butcher) and a great casual spot is Rostericceria Il Re Gallo in Castellini. The BEST pizza I've ever had is at Pizza Pie in Radda.
Radda is definitely our favorite little town since we honeymooned here, but it was fun to go into the bigger ones like San Gimignano and Greve. We also bopped around and visited a few wineries, including Montefili. The father of the owner of Uscio e Bottega owns a winery that's right up the road, with no sign. We eventually found it and picked up wine, olive oil, and honey to bring home.
