Weekend in Healdsburg

One of the biggest perks of living in San Francisco is the proximity to wine country. Two weekends ago we rented a house in Sonoma with friends for a 30th birthday, and last weekend we visited Healdsburg for the first time for a wedding. We were only there for the weekend, but I'm already plotting a return visit. See below for my quick guide (would love to see if you have any additions).

We had an amazing dinner at Chalkboard when we arrived. Like seriously delicious. The next morning we had coffee and breakfast at The Shed. It's a beautiful space and right out of a Nancy Meyers movie, with fresh pastries and cookbooks and flowers all arranged to make you want to buy everything. On Sunday, we stopped into Flying Goat Coffee before heading back to San Francisco.

If you're into breweries (like my husband), check out Bear Republic and Russian River Brewing. The wedding was at beautiful Arista Winery, and the after party was at Campo Fina, which has bocce ball courts and a cute bar. I'd heard great things about a few other wineries in the Russian River but we just ran out of time!

Have you been to Healdsburg? What else would you add to my list?
