Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Why is it, that as you age the years seem so much shorter? How old am I now, anyway? Please let it be 29. No matter, I will just pour myself an extra glass of Veuve Clicquot, and will feel young and bubbly. Until the next morning of course when I will be reminded that I am no longer in fact 21, but 34 years old: with 2 kids, a dog, a head full of sprouting gray hairs and a raging headache. ;)

2016 has some pretty big changes for us. We will be packing up and leaving our home in San Diego, for a new one (fingers crossed that it's soon) in the Bay Area. We are excited, yet emotional about uprooting and leaving our friends and family down here. But the Bay Area: it has always had my heart, and it will be good to return "home." Nevertheless the mere thought of actually moving is nothing short of stressful. Perhaps though that is a worry I will tackle once we find a house to move to. One step at a time, right?

An added bonus about living in the Bay Area: Kirby and I can resume our wine nights and coffee dates, just in a different city. (There are familiar and friendly faces where we are moving. These things always make the transition so much easier).

We both hope you all have a wonderful New Year's Day and weekend. We'll be back on Monday. Refreshed. Energized. And likely caffeinated.
