September in San Francisco

September has always been one of my favorite months. There's that back-to-school feeling that feels like a fresh start, and the weather is perfect. In southern California, it's when the tourists go home and the locals are able to enjoy quieter beaches. In northern California, it's when Karl the Fog stays away. It was nearly 90 degrees in the city yesterday.

I so enjoyed this long weekend. There were fun brunches (Gracias Madre and Zazie) and dinners (The Progress and Monk's Kettle) with friends, some park hanging at Dolores and Golden Gate, lots of walking - including back and forth that famous bridge, and enough time to just relax.
