How was your weekend? I met a friend for drinks Friday night (we went here) and then had the weekend completely to myself. As in zero plans. It was heavenly. I took a few Pilates classes, I snagged a coveted corner seat at Jane and worked for a few hours, I got a bunch of things done that had been pushed to the bottom of my to-do list (looking at you: smog check), I read my stack of dusty Vogues with the dog cuddled up next to me on the couch. It felt like a nice long weekend and by the time Ian returned home Sunday night I was feeling ready for the week and for the busy weeks ahead.
I hope you're having a good start to the month and your week. I'll leave you with a few links.
Because it's Monday and you're liking looking at cute animal photos to ease the pain anyway, meet Earl.

A new season of The Mind of a Chef is on Netflix!
Speaking of Netflix, did any of you watch Wet Hot American Summer? I'll admit, I streamed an episode or two this weekend.
After reading this post I want to take a summer getaway to Shelter Island.
There's a new Amy Winehouse exhibit in town that looks pretty interesting.
Last week I showed you three blue dresses I'm considering buying for wedding season. I'm adding this one to the list.
I can't afford it (see: wedding season) but someone needs to scoop up this rag & bone blazer while the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on!
