Beginner in the Big Easy

Next Thursday Matt and I are heading to New Orleans. We're meeting up with our college friends for a reunion of sorts and already I am getting hungry and thirsty thinking of all of the delicious food and drinks I'll be happily consuming amid drenching humidity. Ah yes, it will be hot, but I do not care because I will be with my husband and four very dear friends in a city filled with delectable bites, good libations and jazzy tunes. I will be happy as a clam I am sure.

Below is a rough itinerary.

Since there will be six of us (three couples) we opted to rent a house, where we can lounge when needed. We found a three bedroom place with a pretty wrap around porch on AirBnb. I plan to drink cocktail every evening there (likely drenched in sweat, but not caring because I will be in NOLA with no kids).

Cane and Table: You drink libations out of pineapples. Do I need to explain more?
Angeline: Southern Comfort Food. You can bet I will be indulging many times during our trip.
Bello CQ: A cool, swanky atmosphere + yummy cocktails!
Cochon Butcher: The sandwiches look amazing.

Irvin Mayfield Jazz Playhouse: Music and drinks, because really that's why we're going. ;)
Ghost Tour: I did one of these in Plymouth and it was super cool, feel like I can't miss one in New Orleans.
Stroll in the Garden District: Those houses!

Any other tips you can share? I'm ready!
