Try This: Strawberry, Almond + Coconut Milk Smoothie


It's pretty. It tastes good. And it's (relatively healthy)!!! I went off the smoothie train for a while, but now I'm back on, and this is my new favorite recipe. My kids love it too, which when you have something with strawberry, banana and honey is not entirely surprising, but I love the almond element, which adds a little bit of extra protein.

Ready? Here you go:

One or two large handful(s) of strawberries (about 6-8 berries total)
Two bananas
One cup coconut milk
Half a cup of plain yogurt
One heaping handful of raw almonds (I used the pre-sliced kind, easier on the blender)
One squeeze of honey
Mix it up and top with almonds...and of course, enjoy!
