You guys. I finished something. I have to say this gallery wall was a work in progress for a very long time. There were gaps that were driving me mad, and one day last week I finally had had enough and made one of those split second decisions to incorporate a piece of art that had been sitting around, behind a chest the entire time. I am ridiculous.
You see, I had been holding out hope for a gigantic piece of art, a statement piece for the wall (which I do feel is an important part of a gallery wall in general), but Matt and I could not agree on anything. Literally nothing. And also we had very little money to spend, and I just hate rushing into art. So, I dug around the house seeing what I had to sort of fill gaps, and lo and behold, I had been saving a chalk print of a cactus that was done by my Great Aunt in the 1930s. Amazing. Why in the world wasn't it up there before?
I really love how it turned out. I've put all of the sources below if you're interested, most of them are either our own photos, art we've acquired abroad or art from family members. But there are some goodies up there from some incredible shops too.
Do you guys like gallery walls? I'd love to hear what you think!
