While I'm exploring London + Paris (follow along on Instagram), our favorite London-based blogger Natalie is sharing her favorite spots in London. Enjoy!
Hello everyone! I'm Natalie and I write the blog Natalie Merrillyn: all about fashion, interiors, and my life living in London, England. Here are a few of my favorite spots around London (you'll see most of them revolve around a huge passion of mine - FOOD!), and where I like to take visitors to show them my little world. Enjoy (and thanks Kirby and Alexa for having me)!
Fernandez and Wells | Soho
This is such a sweet cafe that always feels sort of hidden away in the midst of busy Soho. It has lots of little sweets and pastries (and good coffee) and it's a great place to sit and people watch.
Primrose Hill is one of my favorite neighborhoods to wander around. It's pretty much as charming as it sounds: there's lots of little cafes and places to grab a glass of wine (there are also lots of amazing consignment shops) and it has one of the best views in London when you climb to the top of the hill. Love watching the sunset from the hill - it's a must see!
Super touristy, I know, but one of the great things about London is all the museums - and so many of them are free. The National Portrait Gallery always has amazing exhibits, and it's one of my go-to rainy day activities, it's so easy to get sucked in and lost in there. There are loads of museums near the NPG (the British Musuem, the Tate Modern) - make it a full museum-hopping day!
Granger & Co | Notting Hill
If you have the patience for the always-present line outside the restaurant, Granger has an amazing menu filled with lots of fruits and veggies, fresh pressed juices, coffee, and pastries. I love their breakfast menu, but it's all good!
Again, super touristy, but Trafalgar Square is one of the places you must see if you're visiting London. Amazing views, and it's a quick walk to Big Ben and Westminster. It's so surreal walking through - sometimes I have to pinch myself that I actually live here.
Of course, there's loads more and I could go on forever about everything London has to offer. Go to Harrods (go upstairs and play with the puppies!), grab lobster rolls at Burger & Lobster, if you book ahead, Chiltern Firehouse has amazing brunch, The Orangery at Kensington Palace is the perfect place for afternoon tea, and there are loads of parks and gardens to wander through if the weather's nice (my personal favorite is Regent's Park). You can follow along on my London adventures on my blog and my Instagram!
Thanks again, K & A for having me!
