On Tanning

You guys, I'm getting my first spray tan tomorrow. When we lived in San Diego, I spent a lot more time at the beach and, despite wearing SPF 45, typically had a little color year-round. Now we live in San Francisco and I'm getting more and more concerned about my skin the closer I get to 30 (I turn 29 in a few weeks - eek).

For my own wedding, I was too nervous to spray tan so I used these tanning wipes, and would really recommend them for gradual color. But for our quick trip to Cabo this weekend I'm going to Benefit and having a professional give me what I hope will be a light dusting of natural-looking tan. Any tips for me?

P.S. This towel is hilarious. It's sold out on Shopbop but I also found it here.

I am a serial spray tanner and once you find someone good you never leave them!! ;) For me, that was the spa at Neiman Marcus. Exfoliate well before going, and wear a loose dress to the tan so you don't rub off anywhere. I prefer to do the express tan so you can shower 2 hours after getting it. I hope it went well!!

Oops, I meant the spa at Nordstrom- not Neimans!
