November Friday

This week completely flew by and I have a feeling the weekend will do the same. Mainly it was a busy work week, but we did have dinner with friends Tuesday night (we went to Loló in the Mission). Tonight one of my best friends arrives for a few weeks so that's exciting. We're heading to Scribe Winery with her and some other friends Sunday, and Saturday Ian and I are going to the opera (he got us tickets to Tosca as our one-year paper wedding anniversary gift). What are you doing this weekend?

This essay on marriage made me laugh and cry. I've only been married a little over a year but we dated for over seven years before tying the knot so it really resonated with me.

Last weekend, Brittany Maynard chose to end her own life. Read more about her story and 'death with dignity' here.

We recently made this risotto recipe, from Ina Garten. So easy (and so good).

Can you guess what the catchiest song of all time is? Hint, "Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want."

Anna Wintour turned 65 this week. In honor of her big birthday, here are a few times she had no time for that.

This quote is beautiful.

Congrats to Hitha on her site re-design.
