Rain Booties

9/24/2014

Rumor has it that San Francisco is going to be enjoying a rainy fall and winter, and I say enjoy because we've been in a severe drought in California and because I've always quite liked rain. That said, with the except of a semester aboard at Oxford in England I've never really lived in a rainy climate.

So here is my dilemma: do I spring for the Loeffler Randall booties or go with the more affordable J. Crew pair? I love how the Loeffler Randall's are matte so they don't look like rain boots. Perfect for those days when it's pouring on your way to work and the sun is shining brightly when you sheepishly run out to grab lunch. But at $195 they are steep and the J. Crew pair are under $100. Help!

i actually am with jillian on this one and like the jcrew version better! personally i'm a huge fan of chelsea style boots and just find the cut to be a little more flattering on those than the loeffler randall version. but both are adorable :)

I've been eyeing these two too!! I love that they don't look like conventional rain boots, such a tough decision!

I'm always a fan of the more affordable pair, but both are so cute! What a great find!

I actually don't own a pair of rain boots or booties but would love some for next season.

Although I'm usually into the look for less, I just love the LR booties. The matte finish and the hardware give an unexpected edge and just make them "oh-so versatile!" ... rain or shine. :)
