Watching: Fashion Documentaries

When Ian travels for work, I typically indulge in a marathon Bravo session. But since we got rid of cable, I've been on a fashion documentaries kick. Here are my favorites.

Mademoiselle C
I've always admired the style of former Vogue Paris editor-in-in-chief Carine Roitfeld. This documentary goes behind the scenes as she launches her own magazine.

Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's
An inside look at the Manhattan department store.

Valentino: The Last Emperor
I fell a little bit in love with Valentino and his life and business partner Giancarlo Giametti (and their pugs) while watching this.

Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel
I loved this documentary about the fashion editor of Harpers Bazaar.

The September Issue
Everyone knows the September issue of Vogue is the best issue. This documentary follows editor-in-chief Anna Wintour as she preps the 2007 issue.

Bill Cunningham New York
I've seen this profile on the famed New York city street fashion photographer multiple times. So good.
