The beach. The only exception here would be Santa Cruz in Northern California, but you're still dealing with cold water.
Mexican Food. #givemeallofit
The endless summer: Rad. Except when it's fall.
The use of the word Rad (see above). Surfer lingo, therefore So-Cal. I personally love it. Matt acts as if he's personally offended every time I use it. He always asks me: "Who says 'rad' anyway?" Ah Matt, you poor, rad-less soul. There are more of us than you think.
I can wear a dress any time of the year I want. And flip flops. #win
Strip Malls. Seriously, how many CVS stores and Rubios do you need in a one square mile radius?
Architectural style: Beige Stucco, Red Tile. Repeat. Would it kill anyone to throw in a little gray, black, white, brick, wood...anything?
Water. It's just yucky here. Sometimes I forget about it, or maybe I've become accustomed to it, then I visit my parents and I think: what is that marvelous, cold, sweet liquid coming out of the tap?
The lack of trees, besides palms (see above photo). Not that I have anything against palm trees, but I do miss a quaint little tree-lined street.
What do you think? Do you have a preference? Or do you have a special place in your heart for both?
