The Making of a Pop Up Shop on The Glitter Guide

6/05/2014

As many of you know, I was in West Hollywood for the Lulu & Georgia Pop Up Shop last week + weekend. In all honesty, it was a lot of work, but it was well worth it. I had completely forgotten what it was like to work in retail (my days at The Limited were about 13 years ago, and that was no cakewalk). Setting up an entire store and manning it for three days was maybe slightly insane. But there's something about walking into a brightly lit, beautiful store and really seeing the pieces: Being able to touch the pattern on a rug and hold a pillow. It was also so awesome getting to get to meet so many L&G customers and to actually work closely with my boss and co-workers. Working from home can feel lonely and isolating at times. It's refreshing to feel a part of something, especially part of a company that's so chic and modern (I might be biased, but really, it's true). If you were there, thank you so much for stopping by and if you couldn't make it...we may have another one sometime soon. Maybe not soon as in next week or next month...but I'll keep you posted for sure. ;) I'd also like to give a special shout-out to Erica, Mara and Anne. It was so great to catch up and share blogger stories over cocktails and pillow talk. Glitter Guide captured some of the details and you might recognize a face. ;)

That sounds like an awesome experience! And it looks so fun too! I can only imagine how exhausting that was at the same time. I love L&G products. So pretty it's always hard to choose my favorites!

Hey pretty lady! I'm glad you had such a good time at the Pop Up! I am a bit angry at L&G right now though...ALL of the rugs I like are completely sold out! :( xo
