Kitchen Favorites

1/22/2014

Our kitchen is hardly a chef's kitchen. It's teeny-tiny, with a two-burner electric stove, limited counter space, and no oven (there's a dual washer-dryer where the oven should be and we have the nicest toaster oven we could find). As far as storage, our Le Creuset is on display high above the cabinets (the only free space) and our IKEA wooden bar cart holds most of our dishes.

Thanks to our family and friends, our kitchen is packed with gorgeous dishes (mostly blue-and-white, lots of indigo Le Creuset), with lots of olive wood and stainless steel pieces, with gifts opened at wedding showers thrown by family and friends, opened while snacking on wedding cake the morning after the big day, and opened excitedly upon returning from our honeymoon.

Here are a few of our favorite kitchen wedding gifts, some from our registries (we registered at Williams-Sonoma, Crate and Barrel, and Sur La Table and did a Wish List at West Elm) and some off-registry.

Ha, kettle twins! Though our Le Creuset sticker fell off long ago. And ours is red, but still. That teapot was one of the best purchases we made (and at the Le Crueset outlet, no less!) xo

My kitchen is exactly the same size, that of a tuna can! For our wedding registry I have registered actually for a few of these items, really hoping for a Le Creuset:)

What a fun post! We have a tiny kitchen too, but at least we have a stove and oven. I love that you still make do!

I've had the red version of the Le Creuset kettle for years and I use it almost daily. Love love love it. What I also love is that you make such a small space so lovely, and you make me want to clear out all my clutter. Hmmm... maybe this afternoon!
