First Friday of December

After a fun Thanksgiving weekend with family and a get-together at our place Sunday with friends, Ian left for a work trip Monday, and I woke up Tuesday to a flooded bedroom. Despite the stress of it all I'm determined to make the best of this weekend. We're laying low tonight so Ian can get some sleep before the LSAT, but then tomorrow we're celebrating his birthday and break from studying with dinner here and have tickets to the symphony on Sunday.

We lost a good one this week. Rest in peace Nelson Mandala.

And the Pantone 2014 Color of The Year is ... Radiant Orchid.

It's Holiday Week on The Everygirl.

Kate Moss in Playboy?

I think I need everything on Mimosa Lane's fashionista holiday gift guide.

Small space inspiration.

The cutest aztec infinity scarf to keep you warm in the coldest months.

Lulu & Georgia has an awesome Instagram Contest going on right now. Win $100 to their shop. Easy peasy.

In case you missed it:

We tried out some lacy and comfy Kohl's holiday looks this week.

We also did our first holiday giveaway with AHeirloom. And the winner is... Kait! Come back Monday for another fabulous holiday giveaway ('ll be a great accessory to go with your LBD)!

So sad about Nelson Mandela. He's one of those people who always felt immortal. He'll definitely be missed.
