Easy Peasy Gift Idea (And Cheap)!

12/03/2013

My parents sweetly brought a little jar of homegrown and dried oregano (because it is one herb I use all the time)! It was in an adorable little canning jar and it occurred to me...what a perfect gift! You can just gather up herbs from your own garden, hang them to dry for a few days and package them in a clear jar, tie them with a ribbon and viola! Easy right?

Set of 12 canning jars on Amazon: $24
Roll of ribbon: $3-$5 Target or any drug store
Herbs: Free!

Happy gifting!

P.S. Did you enter our giveaway to win the cutest U.S. cutting board? Make your kitchen just a little cuter with whichever state you choose!

So darling! Every year I make homemade sea salt caramels for my mama, and when she catches sight of the big mason jar, she always squeals!

You could even go one step further and make little jars of potpourri. Dried roses, dried lavender, even some dried rosemary, and instead of a lid use some tulle to seal it off. Stick one on a counter or in a drawer! Now you've got me thinking! xo

I love this!! This is actually what we have given family in the past few years---it is perfect if they like to cook! And we don't really do real gifts--but this is something that can always be used! Love it!
