Let's Get Real.

10/24/2013

I loved this post on His Little Lady the other day. So here's a little about me. :)

I am a major worrier. That bump on my arm? Cancer.

I have this annoying condition called Gastritis. I don't follow the diet rules. Sometimes I pay for it, but red wine is worth it.

Parenting is the hardest thing I've ever done.

I have a stuffed bear named Obedience Bear. He has slept with me every night since I was six.

I've jumped out of a plane twice. Scared the crap out of me. Twice.

I'm 5 feet tall at the doctor's office. My license says 5'1". I go with what the license says.

I hate spiders more than anything.

When I get really stressed I close my eyes and pretend I'm on a beach in Fiji (minus the spiders).

My favorite beer is Tecate. With lime and salt.

I used to love rainy days. Then I had kids. And a dog.

I used to want to grow up and be Agent Scully. I secretly still kind of do.

If I could travel anywhere right now it would be to a cozy mountain retreat and I would sleep for five days straight.

What about you guys? Any awesome things I should know about you?

I am a hypochondriac too? The pain in my side...um my appendix has exploded. Why am I the only one who is concerned about me? I love that your bear is named Obedience bear. I had a stuffed animal in college named Toothbrush. What? xoxo

Ha - I never ever thought about not loving rainy days. However I would imagine they are difficult with kiddos!

You sound just like me- I had to stop googling symptoms b/c it was always leading back to a brain tumor!! Totally agree about the rainy days- esp with a dog- they just get so darn muddy.

Call me crazy, but I actually made the nurse measure me no less than three times at a recent appointment because I refused to let her write 5'5" as my height–I've always been 5'4"!

Loved reading this! I have a bear that I have loved forever too...though he doesn't sleep with me any longer, my Little Guy has inherited him!
And I'm 5'9 1/2 - but during pregnancy, I curve to 5'8 1/2-5'9 ;D

I think everything is cancer because I make the mistake of WebMD-ing all of my symptoms and welp don't do that. Sometimes I really hate running, but I've never regretted going for a run. Oh, and I have a growing collection of stuffed pandas.

This was wonderful! I have a girlfriend who is such a worrier. Years ago, like when we were pre-teens and early teens, she'd wake up tangled and warm in the sheets and thing, "Night sweats, AIDS!" ;)

I worry too, but I can generally talk myself down from it. And I'm short. Sigh.

Oh my god YES to the spiders thing. Not yes to spiders, though, but definitely yes to hating them! Have you seen this hilarious cartoon? http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/03/spiders-are-scary-its-okay-to-be-afraid.html
