Just One Day

8/15/2013

Guys, things have been busy. Not two babies busy like Alexa, but working long hours, commuting, blogging on the side, and wedding-planning busy.

At any given point in time I'm running on fewer than six hours of sleep, my car is on the verge of being out of gas, my dry cleaning sits neglected waiting to get picked up, and I feel generally behind on ... something. But given the choice of getting in my car on a Saturday afternoon to run errands like picking up said dry cleaning and doing something else like sitting in our yard with a glass of wine, or walking to the beach to watch Ian surf, and I always choose a different option.

But today is my Friday, so while I've already been up working for a few hours and know it will be a late night, it's just one day to get through. Tomorrow I took the day off I have my final, final wedding dress fitting, Ian and I are getting our marriage license (and popping some champagne we've been saving to celebrate), and my best friend is flying in for my wedding shower Saturday. So instead of complaining today about being busy I'm going to try to be grateful.
