Food & Drink

I've always loved Hemingway and this quote in particular, but lately it's resonated even more with me. I can just tell that when Ian and I are old and gray we'll be talking about nights like the ones we had this weekend, using our first wedding gifts to cook dinner in our tiny little apartment while sipping on wine that cost under $10 from Trader Joe's. Would I like to be able to go out to dinner more or order that second glass of wine out without thinking about the bill? Sure, but not when I realize that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be.

Amen to that. And I get it completely. When I was in graduate school...we were POOR. lol. But those moments we looks back on and love completely! (Dare I say, sometimes think, it would be nice to go back? Things were beautifully simple.)

Exactly - God Bless Trader Joes. We too have our "tapas" style dinners outside for under $20. And Groupon?! That has created many a happy hour girls nites in my life that otherwise could not have happened.
