A Thought for a Monday

4/01/2013

2013 started and I never stopped moving. A busy work trip to New York, searching for and finding my wedding dress,  traveling to Australia, planning our engagement party, celebrating with family and dear friends, and now moving. Things have seemingly slowed down a bit and while it's my natural instinct to move on to the next thing, I am going to try to enjoy right now. I mean, I am planning a wedding and Alexa and I are working on a blog redesign, after all.

How do you slow down? I'd love to hear.

So true! I like having something to look forward to, so I try to enjoy that part instead of just wishing the days in between away.

Running helps me slow down. It gives me a chance to think about a lot of things. For a long time. So by the time I tackle 5, 10 or 20 miles, I've figured things out and feel so much better :)

Sounds like a seriously hectic start to 2013! I need to print this quote and stick it on my fridge because I am so guilty of wishing time away!

It's really hard to slow down! I remember when I started teaching and I was complaining to my mom about being so busy, and she just said it was part of life. I've discovered that it's true too! I really need to slow down and enjoy each day. I actually find that blogging helps me record memories, which makes me more mindful of how I spend my time sometimes.
