Shades of a Flower

1/08/2013

How was your weekend, lovelies? Ours was perfectly relaxing (minus the 30 tantrums that were scattered haphazardly about). I'm a little sad that the week has only just started, but am looking forward to Thursday, when Matt and I are going to sneak away for a date night in celebration of yours truly (who as it turns out) ages just like everyone else and has a zillion grey hairs to prove it. Sigh...

Matt brought home this beautiful bouquet of tulips from Trader Joe's on Sunday. I love that rich purple color. It's funny how the same flower can look so different depending on how it's colorized.

P.S. Did you know that we have a Stella + Dot giveaway going on right now? We'll wrap it up on Friday, so enter now for your chance to win. Good luck!

My life is infinitely better since Trader Joe's opened up -- the flowers are so pretty, the snacks are the best, the cheese selection is quirky...and all for cheap!

p.s. I noticed my first white hair the other day (not grey -- white) -- it was obnoxious. Of course I yanked it out.

Yay for date night!!! And your husband is just so sweet :) How thoughtful! I love the filters...it really is interesting to look at objects in different colors. It truly does change the mood of that object - especially a flower. XO Brynn
