I love the look of a single wallpapered wall. They've been popping up all over Pinterest lately and I'm seriously stockpiling away ideas for our future house. Full disclosure: Matt hates wallpaper, so I'm gearing up for a big battle on this one. Actually I first became enthralled with the idea when visiting the Home Hotel in Buenos Aires (see photos above). Stay here if you ever visit. In fact, book a trip there just to stay at Home. I'm not kidding on this one. I loved their wallpaper accented walls. They were cheery, fun, clean and crisp. It made the room feel interesting.
At Wallpaper Update you can find any type of wallpaper that strikes your fancy. Any. You will get lost in dreams of how fantastic your walls will look with a pop of gold, a bit of bright yellow, a festive little floral pattern. I've compiled some of my favorites above.
1 and 2: I love the look of toile for a bedroom, or even a child's nursery. How sweet would it be to be rocking your baby to sleep with one of these decorating the wall?
3. Oh my gosh. If I lived in a NYC apartment, I would colorize my kitchen with this bright yellow wallpaper. Seriously love.
4. My favorite. The orange and gold are just striking and it would totally look so sophisticated in a bathroom. Behind a pedestal sink, with a clawfoot tub and cute little gold accents. I've almost talked myself into buying it now!
5. Another great choice for a bedroom. I actually think it looks very similar to the first one featured at Home Hotel and it would look smashing with yellow and light wood accents.
6. This is a gorgeous floral pattern and I adore the brick for the background. Perfect for a cozy sitting room or library perhaps?
