I've always loved succulents, and so has my fiancé. I'd love to incorporate them into our wedding with placecards (that also work as favors!), simple cake decorations and even in my bouquet (succulents are always in season). I'm trying to stay away from major trends, but this is one that just feels like "us."
one of my close friends started growing individual succulents months before her wedding and used them as gifts. super cute at the wedding and cost effective! great idea!
Equally in love with succulents! We had them in wooden planters on our belly-up tables at the reception, with markers for people to write messages to us on the planters. Three years later, we're still using the planters as catch-all containers around the house. And the succulents have been replanted in the garden outside...reminding us every time we see them of the lovefest that was our reception :)

Who cares if it's "trendy" right now or not? If you love it, do it!

I love the organic feel of succulents! This instantly reminded me of Natasha's wedding :
