I'm back after a little over a week away!
1. The leaves were starting to change on the east coast. I know I can't complain about living in southern California, but it was nice to experience a bit of fall on our trip.
2. Pumpkin spice lattes are back! I've been taking things a step further by ordering anything and everything pumpkin-flavored (beer, pancakes, the list goes on).
3. It was chilly in Michigan, but we warmed up with tropical Planter's Punches. Yum.

Oh man, I miss the changing leaves. Everything here is still dead and brown from the dry summer. This time last year, I was photographing a wedding in a tiny town in Wisconsin. I had to fly into Chicago and drive to the wedding site. It was the most beautiful, colorful drive and totally made me miss the midwest.
I feel like a big complainer every time I talk about how much I miss the leaves changing. I live in San Francisco - I should be complaining about nothing! But if you grow up around that, and that's your "cue" for fall, it's hard not to miss it. Gorgeous photo!
