These are special. The locket is from my Grandma (my Dad's mom) and the earrings and two pendants are from my Oma (my Mom's mom). They are no longer here, but these sweet gems make them feel a little bit closer. Also they had lovely taste! What gems do you hold close to your heart?

My Dad passed away when I was younger & I have his high school class ring. It's way too big for me to wear but it's one of my most prized piece of jewelry.
What beautiful family pieces! I have a trio of gold twist bracelets from my mom and my childhood nanny, and they mean the world to me!

They had very good taste! I have a couple of necklaces that were my great-grandma's. I'm almost afraid to wear them because I don't want to lose or break them!
So pretty. I have these small diamond earrings that my mom's mom her when I was born, I wear them everyday all the time in my second piercing. And my wedding ring.

Love this! I don't have any hand me down jewelry but I have little knick knacks all over the house and they always make me smile.

Oh wow I have a locket just like that...pretty sure it's from my grandma when I was little! Almost all my "real" jewelry is from my grandma, some are pieces she used to wear all the time so I feel like she's with me when I wear them! (She's alive, but in another country so I don't get to see her as often as I like.)
I have an Oma too!! I am a HUGE fan of jewelry that is passed down...I am hoping my mother will pass down her coral elephant pin....makes me always think of her..
