Happy Friday everyone. It was a short week that masked itself as a long one. Thus I am over-joyed that my beloved Friday has finally arrived! What are your plans this weekend? We have a wedding this Saturday. The couple lives in Germany, but the bride is originally from San Diego. We shall be drinking many, many beers and saying "prost" in gruff German accents. They are having a second celebration in two weeks in the Black Forest. I am feeling dreary that we can't go, but am trying to console myself with Paris (a month and a half away!!)
In other news...school is starting. Oh how I miss wandering the hilly campus of UC Santa Cruz, and talking for hours in little campus cafes talking politics, the world and literature. I don't miss staying up till 5am dissecting the inner workings of the Third Reich for a 20 page dissertation. Let me tell you, uplifting it is not. But some things, however difficult they may be to digest, are worth researching.

Love the sweet and inspiring pencil case, cheesy though it may be! I always loved back to school time too, I went to UC Berkeley an eternity ago and while I majored in Spanish, I took every class I could get my hands on, I just loved being a nerdball. So much pleasure in just learning for learning's sake!
