In May 2004 I went to Florence. I met my friend Courtney who was studying there. We went to the Uffizi and the Duomo, we got two scoops of gelato a day. We drank a carafe of wine at lunch. And at dinner. We sat in cafes and people-watched for hours. And forgot the meaning of time. It was magnificent. A perfect memory.

People-watch for hours..... something I love to do, especially while travelling :-)
I've heard great things about Florence and hope to visit with the love of my life one day :) Ah I love their way of life...how nothing matters but the time well spent. That's it!
I was in Florence in 2006 and have some amazing memories - gelato at every meal, going to the markets, visiting the different churches and galleries. I would love to go back!

Aw, this reminds me of when I went to Florence in 2009 - my first and only time there. I miss it so much! I wasn't blogging at the time so maybe I'll do a 'recap' three years later! Ha!

I have yet to make it to Italy but those are all the things I miss about Spain. Sometimes life can be too fast-paced here. :)

This almost perfectly describes a trip I took to Venice years ago.

That sounds like a superb memory. I have yet to make it to Italy but once the kiddos get old enough...I will eat my way through the country!
Florence remains one of the most amazing places I've ever been to-I feel so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to study there!
