Hello lovelies! I hope you all had a nice long weekend (if you were celebrating Memorial Day here in the U.S.) Kirby and I had a nice little blog break, but we are happy to be back this Tuesday morning with some simply stunning hues of purple and fushia. Can't you just smell lavender looking at this this gorgeous shade?
I used to love purple when I was a little girl, but starting in my teenage years I strayed far from it...feeling it was too "girly." Now I think of purple as one of my calming colors (it's in the same catagory as turquoise and sea green). Above are some shots from around my house.
1. Anthropologie skirt. And it has pockets. (Of course it does...it's from Anthropologie, and they think of everything).
2. I clean in purple. Because why not? Plus it smells like a field of lavender.
3. Dried and Fresh flowers. I think purple is one of those colors that retains such a lovely shade when dried, don't you?
4. Out of all of the photographs I've taken in my life - save for ones of my super cute daughter - this is my absolute favorite. For a single moment in time on a tiny wooden bridge in Iguazu, Argentina, a brilliant purple butterfly and I paused at exactly the same time.
P.S. Apparently I jumped the gun and Color Collective will be tomorrow. Wow for once I'm ahead of the game. This is actually really funny, because it never happens. Anyway, check out Brynn's post tomorrow. xo
