Outdoor Living

Our last apartment had a place for our grill and Ian to store his many surfboards, but it wasn't enough to call it a yard or a patio. But now, we have a large balcony upstairs off our bedroom and a decent sized patio downstairs! We moved into our current townhouse last fall and haven't had a chance to do much with the space, but now that it's warming up I'm excited to use our patio as another room.
For my birthday present, Ian let me pick out patio furniture and lights. He's also re-doing the landscaping (since a few things we planted didn't survive the winter) and building a rack for his surfboards. I can't wait to show you the finished patio next week!

You'll have to share pictures of your outdoor space once it's all done! We don't have any outdoor space right now and it's definitely on our list for the next place...although we won't be moving any time soon.

Ooh, the second picture is my favorite. I love having a cozy spot to read! :)

I can't wait to see it.
Our backyard needs some serious TLC. It took so much out of us to do just the house, by the time it was finished I didn't care much about the yard. Probably time to get to it.

Can't wait to see! It isn't nice enough for anyone here in the PNW to really invest in an outdoor space so we have to look to our southern neighbors for inspiration!

I wish we could have a year-round space in Tahoe like one of these. So gorgeous!

I love all these nooks! Nothing like a balcony especially in time for warmer weather. We have a big balcony too with a great view. Plan to use it wisely this spring/summer. Can't wait to see the finished patio! x
