Forever 21....Errr 31.

3/12/2012

Good morning readers! How was your weekend? Ours was fairly low-key. I slipped out Friday evening for some beers with co-workers, on Saturday we stayed mellow and had tacos for dinner and yesterday we had a playdate with several of Mila's super cool friends (and their even cooler parents).

I'm linking up today with Anna for her True Beauty Files. Everything here is kind of old news except for the top which I just found at Forever 21. I'm pretty sure that I was the only one older than 17 standing in the checkout line. The girls behind me were about 15 years old and were lamenting the rather distressing case of some misled young man by the name of Josh who was "so, so cute," but unfortunately had not returned a text from one of them in precisely ten minutes. Oh what was a girl to think? Her friend reassured her that it was his loss once he saw her in that bright pink little dress she was clutching in her anxious little hands. Seriously, true story. Oh to be a teenager again. Wait...no... what am I thinking?

I'll pass on reliving the teenage years. ;) So many silly worries! But then again being a 'grownup' has its own worries. Lovely pix! xoxo A-

Haha. I always feel so out of place in F21, but they have some really cute stuff. :)

HAHA!! This is why I try to go to F21 wither early because the teens are still sleeping or on my lunch hour when they are in school. Too funny thought! Cute top!!

Too funny! I always feel like I am the oldest person in that store when I go too! But, I don't care...it's my go-to and I always find something I can't live without. I will shop there even with a cane in hand! ;)

I'm in for beers with friends and play dates but not so much for re-living teenage years. It's been a long journey to the late 20's ha!

I feel like the exact same thing happened to me last time I was in Forever. Right before valentines day I was in TJ Maxx looking for a robe and these teenage girls were in the lingerie section buying cute outfits and talking about thier boyfriends. I almost grabbed the booty boxer shorts of of her hands and told her she was too young to be wearing that.... It made me feel old (and scared to ever have a teenage daughter).

Oh, I know the feeling! I always feel better when there's another mom with a stroller in there. It makes me feel like I'm at least not the only one! At least you scored a super cute shirt while you were there!

You're so lovely! That's my go-to look: leggings, boots, loose long top, low bun.
P.S. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to the teenage years. Not. A. Chance.

I feel the same way when I go into that store! Sometimes if its too crowded with teens I have to just leave or risk a crazy headache.

You look amazing Alexa! Love your boots :) It's so funny now listening to teenagers talk about boys, it defintely takes me back, but I would never want to be 17 again! xx

Ah you guys...making me blush! I wish I could respond individually to each of you, but THANK YOU. I feel so loved and for the record I most definitely do not look like this most of the time. But it sure is fun and feels good when I manage to pull it all together. So thanks! xoxo

HAHA! Josh. WHAT was he thinking? Probably nothing, as he was likely involved in a very intense video game or half-pipe sesh...or something. ;)
