Friday's Fancies

1/20/2012

This week's Friday's Fancies post is all about fashion inspiration found in the blogosphere and on pinterest.

Two of my daily blog reads, I constantly turn to Jules of Sincerely Jules and Taylor of Sterling Style when I am unsure of how to wear a new trend. In the case: it's pleats. I see them everywhere but wasn't quite sure how to style them ... until now. Taylor's take is more classic (how gorgeous is that Jill Stuart frock?) while Jules is as bohemian and effortless as always in pumpkin-colored pleats.

What do you think of pleats? Love them or hate them?

And happy Friday to you! There were a few moments this week when I thought it wouldn't ever arrive.

I'm in love with that Jill Stuart dress- if only I could fit it into my budget! It's perfect!

I love em, but with my shape I like to have something fitted at my waist or else I just look pregnant. So maybe pleats from the waist down. Very cute on the model though.

I love pleats when it's from my hip bones down. Makes the waist look tiny :)

Love a good pleated a-line skirt! Put together but fun at the same time.

I do like them very much. I don't think I have the right shape for them anymore but there is something so classically chic about them.

i love the Jill Stuart dress. Pleats can be a little tricky. They can add un-wanted volume, but if done right, they are such a classic!
