The Weekend Before Christmas

12/16/2011

Why hello weekend, I am so happy you're here. Tomorrow we are going to Matt's parents' for a Christmas open house and then on Sunday we are having them over for a little pre-Christmas gathering. Mila will be receiving her first gifts and I'm almost positive that she's going to love the wrapping paper the best of all. What are your plans this weekend before Christmas? I leave you with festive little links my darlings!

Look confetti packages! Fun!

These are pretty darn adorable too. Love the Rifle Paper Company cards.

Beautiful snowflakes.

Sweet little print.

Darling DIY ornaments!

P.S. Our giveaway for sparkling water!

P.P.S. As I predicted to myself, I did not find the time to make those holiday cookies...sigh. So I leave you with an image of what mine would* have looked like. Photo: Martha Stewart (duh).

*Probably not this cute, but let's pretend, shall we?

Those confetti packages are oh-so-pretty in the picture, but I would not want them in my house! I'd be finding confetti in crevices for days! :)

You are so far ahead of me, not to mention the concept of baking cookies is mindblowing! I think my friends and family are going to have to make due with some yummy peppermint bark!

I'm pretty sure my 16 month old is going to be all about the wrapping paper too. I'm not even sure if I should bother buying her a gift. I think she would be happy if I wrapped up just a wooden spoon! haha! On another note, I haven't had much time to make holiday cookies either, but I was roped into a cookie swap and found these super easy and really yummy! http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/8362/KISSES-Candy-Cane-Blossoms.aspx

If you are interested, I made my own naturally colored sugar for them: http://www.ecoandelsie.com/2011/12/natural-food-coloring-for-sugar.html

Yes, I'm pretty sure she'll love ripping off the paper! Matthew did last year, but this year, at 20 months I know he's going to love the gift, well now that I think about it, I think he's going to like both ;)
Have a great weekend!
PS: I can't seem to find the time to bake either!

I appreciate info on good sites as I don't have the time to figure it out myself. I am sure you could make cookies just as pretty.

Gorgeous, festive links! So many beautiful things (love the sequin ornament!) that even in my panicked (my parents are flying in on Wednesday!) and exhausted state I can't help but feel very much in the Christmas mood :-)
