Hope you enjoy this guest post about bold stripes! Bold stripes give a room character and movement. Many of our favorite rooms feature a stripe, whether it's on a chair, the ceiling or a wall. What is your favorite way for a room to wear its stripes?

Imagine waking up to this cheery striped bedroom every morning! The muted gray headboard looks lovely against the brightness of the stripes.

This bold stripe has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it--weíre just waiting for the Cheshire cat to pop in. A crystal lamp paired with a ghost chair adds another touch of whimsy. Recessed ceiling lights add another exciting dimension to the black and white stripes.

A childrenís playroom gets its own fix of stripes on a tall storage cabinet. There is such a whimsical feel when stripes are used in kidís spaces.

Reserved black and white stripes get a hint of frivolity from a lime green chaise lounge and a cow skin rug.

Primary stripes in differing widths give this space an active feel. Slipcover chairs mimic the bold stripes on the walls.

This bedroom gets an energy boost from stripes that go up and over the room. The petite red light fixture hanging off to the side is a fun addition to the space.
