Getaway

11/11/2011

This weekend Ian and I are finally going to start planning our vacation. We usually have it all set by now but we've been too busy with moving and new jobs so I am excited to research some locations. I don't know about you, but the planning and anticipating are almost as exciting to me as the actual trip!

In past years, we've traveled to Big Sur and last year we went to New Orleans. We'll likely only be taking 3-4 days of work (around late January, early February) so major international travel isn't possible, but I'd love to hear some suggestions. We have been throwing around the idea of Cabo (I'm thinking margaritas and massages!) so if any of you have tips let me know!

Cabo would be so much fun! I would love to go up to the north shore right now on lake superior. Its always beautiful this time of year (despite being freezing) but it would be so relaxing to sit curled up watching the snow fall!

How fun!! And I love that image of the elephant on the map :)

I went to Cabo YEARS ago, but I remember having a lot of fun. Sounds very relaxing :)

I have to say, one of my fave winter vacays we've taken was to Vegas. I know, I know. Total cheeseballs, but it was a hoot and easy, quickish flights.

I just got back from Bermuda & it was so charming but interesting!

I've always wanted to go to the Florida Keys too.

My husband and I want to go to Vancouver and Victoria sometime soon. It's supposed to be beautiful, but it might be pretty cold that time of year.

We've stayed at The Fiesta Americana in Cabo and it was WONDERFUL! We could snorkel right off the beach there or out at Lover's Point. The hotel was amazing. Good luck deciding.
