Bon Appetite: Solace & the Moonlight Lounge

11/01/2011

A few weeks ago, Kristine, Daniela and McKenzie came up to see our new place. We shopped for a few hours before settling on Solace & the Moonlight Lounge for dinner. Ian and I tried its sister restaurant Urban Solace in North Park and loved it, so the girls and I figured it would be a sure bet - and we were right. We dined on:

1. Selection of three artisan cheeses to share
2. (My entree) Duck confit, duck-fat fried creamers, cress apple-fennel slaw, red wine sauce
3. Cheddar & chive biscuits with orange honey butter & smoked tomato jam to share
4. (McKenzie's entree) Seared Albacore chop chop: avo, cilantro, cukes, pine nuts, pepper

I'm a sucker for artisan cheeses. I was just telling my boyfriend last night that I'd love to host a cheese and beer party - if I could find a list of good pairings for our friends!

If you have a few minutes, I'm giving away a $50 NOVICA gift card. http://style-obsession.blogspot.com/2011/10/win-it-50-novica-gift-card.html
