Bon Appetit: Solace For Brunch

11/14/2011

Good morning lovelies! How was your weekend? Ours was pretty fabulous. We had a pre-Thanksgiving party with some close friends on Saturday and on Sunday I met my favorite blogger, Kirby, for brunch at Solace in Encinitas.

A few words on Solace:
Love the artwork: colorful/modern/gold - need I say more?
Decor: Industrial + natural wood and succulents = genius
Service: Spot on. Our server asked us what we wanted to drink and immediately followed up with: "We have bellinis." Uh...two please.
Food: See above photos and drool. We shared the butter-pecan french toast and the EBLT (egg, bacon, lettuce and tomato). And in case you were curious...it did taste as good as it sounds.

Kirby also tells me that their dinners are phenomenal. After sitting outside on a warm, sunny San Diego day drinking bellinis, gaining five pounds on butter-pecan goodness and talking blogging, you wouldn't need to even ask if I wanted to spend an evening at Solace. Just make the reservations. Now.

For more info and yummy looking dishes, visit Solace.

P.S. I know we all don't live in the same cities, but where is your favorite spot for brunch?

The winner of our clutch giveaway will be announced at noon. Will it be you??

That food looks so good! Yum! I plan to come to SD more in the future and hope we can meet up sometime, maybe at Solace! I love eggs Laguna at Anastasia in Laguna Beach and the french toast at Cafe Mimosa in San Clemente...it makes me feel fat just thinking about them!

Ooooh, everything looks so good! I've never been there, but I'll have to try it soon. As for me, I love brunch at The Cottage. Or at my parents' house =)

I'm craving brunch right now!!!
My favorite place to have brunch is my house with family and friends!
My hubby makes awesome pancakes, sausage and eggs and I always bake something sweet and make a fruit salad. It's a blast and my baby boy gets to run around all he wants! Looks like a great spot though, that menu listing has so many delicious offerings!!
