Books Lately?

My dears, do you have any good reading recommendations? Currently I'm reading The Paris Wife (loaned to me from Kirby) and am thoroughly enjoying it. But I mean who wouldn't fall in love with a book about Paris and Hemingway?

Haven't heard of that one, let me know if you like it and I'll give it a whirl. I've been reading lots of business books since I'm starting my own company, but those books aren't as exciting. I did read Little Bee recently and thought it was a great book, sad story, but really well written. x

Oh how I LIVE for this question!! I'm going to list off some of the books that I recommend every time:

- Still Alice by Lisa Genova
- Left Neglected by Lisa Genova
- Rescue by Anita Shreve
- All is Vanity by Christina Schwartz
- This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper
- How to Talk to A Widower by Jonathan Tropper
- Bright Shiny Morning by James Frey
- Paint it Black by Janet Fitch
- A Wolf at the Table by Augusten Burroughs

I think that's a pretty good start :)

Still Alice was a great book, Rachel! I am reading The Submission right now which is about a Muslim man who is picked to design a 9/11 memorial and how this choice sends the city of New York, the nation, and the Muslim community spiralling into an emotional mess. Good read so far! :)

I am always looking for new good reads and will have to check out the book you're reading Alexa. Right now I'm reading Irwin Shaw's collection of short stories {the girls in their summer dresses} they're kind of tragic but the perfect read for the amount of time I usually have.

Can't wait to start the Paris Wife! I'm reading A Homemade Life right now, which is absolutely lovely AND is full of gorgeous recipes, but I think the book I've been most floored by lately is Zeitoun. Oh, and 5th Avenue 5AM-right up your alley!

I just read "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver and couldn't put it down.

Same with "Room" by Emma Donaghue.
