A Patriotic Friday Five

7/01/2011

{How is it that even as an adult - and even after living near Sea World and its nightly fireworks show - I am still captivated by them? Where are you watching the fireworks this year? Via}

{Ian and I one 4th of July - yes, I wore this headband all day long}

{Are you going to the beach this 4th of July? I have only spent a few Independence Days away from California, but they were spent on Long Beach Island with Ian. Via}

{I love, love, love 4th of July desserts like this one and am pondering what to make this year. Via|}

{I always throw my hair into a bun but have yet to try a pretty scarf like this one. Maybe I will during this long weekend! Via}
Happy Friday friends!

Wow that pie looks too good to eat! I can't bake to save my life, let alone decorate like that!

I love that headband!!! I also like any kind of crazy festive headband, so I'm a little jealous of it. Have a great 4th!

I love sparklers. I wish they would last longer than a minute! They are so much fun!

Love that scarf with the bun! Did you see I tried to do that myself the other day:

But it just kept slipping. Maybe it's because mine was silk, whereas this looks like a gauzy cotton one, maybe that's the trick! Going to try again soon.

No celebration of the 4th here in Spain, so wave a sparkler around for me too!

I love sparklers! I always play with them when I was a kid especially when there is any Chinese festivities.

Have a wonderful Friday and a fun 4th of July weekend!
