An Ode to the Spin Pin

7/21/2011

{When I twist my hair into a low bun, I attempt to look like Michelle Williams, but I don't look quite this glamorous!}

{Goody has options for blondes and brunettes}

I don't know if it's from my ballet years or the fact that when I write I can't have my hair in my face (and I spend 90% of my time writing!), but I am always twisting my hair up into a bun. My hair is fine and slips out of hair bands easily, so I was excited to learn about the spin pin from my friend Danielle. These Goody hair pins are life savers!

I bought some of these for my maid of honor to use on my wedding day and we couldn't get them to work. I think her hair was too heavy and she didn't have enough of them to secure it maybe.

My hair's pretty much always up in a bun too, but I don't know, I wasn't crazy about the spin pins. I tried them but ended up returning them, I just felt like they weren't that great. Maybe because my hair's so thick and heavy? Or maybe I should give them another try, everyone's raving about them...

Those always remind me of Danielle. She should make the commercial for them :)

These have never worked for me. I always end up going back to the traditional ballet bun method. Maybe I'm just not using them correctly?? I don't know.
