Bon Appetit: 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro

{Baked Brie}

{Steamed Mussels}
{Fish Special - Sea Bass}

A while back I met my girlfriends at the 3rd Corner Wine Shop and Bistro in Encinitas. It was a much needed break from work, kids, get the drift. It was my first time to 3rd Corner and I was not disappointed. This is not your average "wine bar." I mean it goes quite a bit further than just nuts, olive and small cheese plates. Their menu is extensive with yummy things like Steamed Mussels and Frites, Sea Scallops and Shrimp Arrabbiata.

On this particular occasion we ordered the Au Bon Climat, Pinot Gris with the baked brie appetizer. Sounds fancy? It is. For my main course I opted for the Steamed Mussels and Frites. Why? Because that's what they eat in France and I do not have to emphasize that the French are fabulous. To tell you the truth though, it was a tough decision, especially for a girl who is downright awful at making decisions. Mahi Mahi...New York Steak...Duck Confit....the list goes on. You try and narrow it down.

I encourage all those who live in the San Diego area to try out 3rd Corner. I even encourage those who don't live in San Diego. Hey, it's just another reason to visit us here in So-Cal. Besides the sun and surf of course. Another temptation at 3rd Corner: Veuve Clicquot.

By the way if you had to come up with a last meal would it not include Veuve Clicquot and baked brie?

Visit the 3rd Corner website and be tempted.
