Have a Sunny Weekend!

5/27/2011

My dears, what are your marvelous plans this weekend? Matt, Mila and I are headed up to Los Angeles to spend some time with Mila's Great Grandpa Frank and her Grandpa (or Papa as he likes to be called). There shall be pasta, red wine and discussions about Italy, as my cousin Angela is heading there in a week for her honeymoon (jealousy pangs!) And then I shall sneak out the next morning for breakfast and mimosas and more girly time with Angie. Doesn't that sound fabulous?

Don't you love Natalie Portman? This was from an Elle photoshoot in 2004, these days I expect her belly is a little bigger as she's about to welcome a little one!

Here are some more fun things around the web:

Barcelona is one place that is seriously on my travel list.

Victoria at sfgirlbybay is amazing. Don't you love her photos of New York City?

Speaking of New York, saw this on Cup of Jo the other day, it's pretty funny.

Here's some more Mid-Century Modern.

And this is actually a cute baby shower idea.

I didn't even recognize her!

Love the bib decorating. We did onesies for my Sister's baby shower, with fabric and fabric glue and then I went over them with a sewing machine. Bibs would have been way easier!

I kept this magazine b/c I LOVED her beachy looks with all those gorgeous multi-colored beaded necklaces! ;) I go back to it every summer to get inspired. Funny how much a photo shoot can have such an impact!

Drew, it's so true. Photographers and designers have an eye for colors and textures that I clearly don't have. Ha.

I think Natalie Portman is not only one of the most beautiful women of our time, she is one of my favorite actresses and a great role model for girls (being so educated and such).

I spent my weekend gardening and spending time in the summer heat!

Rachel - Italy is one of the best places in the world...lived there for three months and miss it everyday. Thinking of squeezing into Angela's suitcase perhaps!
