Handmade Ornaments

12/06/2010

Have you gotten your Christmas tree yet? Ian and I brought home our four-foot noble fir last week. Right now it has lights and a few ornaments and I fashioned a tree skirt out of a white quilt I bought in India. I am bringing some more ornaments home from my parents' house this week. I prefer handmade or hand-me-down ornaments to the ones you can buy at the drug store, and thanks to Etsy it is even easier to trim your tree with one-of-a-kind ornaments, without a trip to the crafts store. I stumbled upon the Etsy shop Blakeswork when perusing Etsy and love the handmade felt ornaments. Stay tuned for a giveaway from Blakeswork next week and check out the shop in the meantime.

Handmade ornaments really are precious. They just have that special touch that store ones don't have. By the way, I'm holding a giveaway on my blog for Orglamix Organic makeup and you're welcome to come by and enter. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2010/12/orglamix-organic-mineral-makeup-review.html
