Someday My Prince Will Come...Or Maybe Not.

11/18/2010

Did you hear? The prince is engaged! Fairytale dream of one day becoming a princess? Not so much. But listen...I almost met the prince while we were living in New Zealand. He visited Wellington in 2005, but alas I was working. Turns out Matt was also working....at the restaurant where the prince ate! He was summoned up to the private dining room where he presented Prince William with a selection of wines and happened to mention that my family made our own wine. If I recall, the prince ventured that he might have to try it someday when he visited California. Perhaps this is a good opportunity to send an engagement gift? Teresina 07 Petite Syrah: bound for Buckingham. We just have to make sure it's not the 1981 birth wine.

how have i not heard that story before?
i was obsessed with prince "wills" when i was in jr high- i just knew i was going to become the next princess of wales!
now i think prince harry is the hot one, and i found my own prince charming in mr. steve (did i just say that? how cheeseball)
and you should totally send them a bottle of wine! that would be awesome!
going to have to ask matt about this, too, i want to hear what he thought of the prince!

How have I not heard that story before either?! Two comments: 1. No. No birth wine. I am still wincing from my one sip. ;) 2. It's slightly ridiculous how excited I am for the royal engagement. Will you and Kat join me if I hold an English tea party/wedding viewing party when they get married?? I'm kidding. Okay, not really...

Um....1. My apologies on the birth wine. I giggled when everyone tried it at Angela's wedding. 2. Yeeeeah I will totally be there for an English tea party and wedding viewing! Hello...we have to gossip about the dress!
