Back Home

Here's something that will forever be remembered during Thanksgivings to come: A long line of red brake lights slowly snaking down Highway 5. Matt and I made the foolish decision to drive from San Diego to the Bay Area this past holiday and I would not reccommend it (especially when one passenger is seven months pregnant). Anyway we knew there would be traffic, but it was a long, tiresome journey on the route home and I was only too glad to collapse into bed when we rolled in at about 2:00 am.

The trek was worth it, however. Time was spent with the family in front of the fireplace, Pedro was generally in agreeable spirits and I was able to recconnect with some old friends from high school. I hope all of you had a marvelous Thanksgiving feast...the baby and I were (and still are) sufficiantly stuffed!

P.S. Here is a lovely photo of fall, that makes me want to break out the boots and oversized sweaters!

I LOVE this picture! It makes me want to go find nature. Funny, I move to a city with seasons and I'm still not content. ;)
